Whoann grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina, started collecting records in the late nineties, back then fascinated and influenced by the Detroit and UK’s house and techno scene.

Very soon he got interested in synthesizers and software and started to experiment and produce his first tracks. However, standing long hours at the decks, collecting and exploring labels became his number one activity since he was in school.

The very first rave parties that started to occur back in 98’ in Buenos Aires decided a path he would chose to follow.
In 2009, Whoann decided to move to Europe. First, he arrived to Barcelona where he dedicated his time to enlarge his record collection. Here he became a part of the White Monky and Reckon families playing as a resident at their parties. Short opening hours at clubs in the city and the lust to carry on listening to music and enjoying friends company, Whoann organized after parties, playing long hours where he could develop his strong storytelling and mixing skills.
After six years Whoann decided to move to Berlin, which resulted to be a crucial step in his musical career. After the release of his first vinyl, he got back to the studio and started a project with two friends under the name “Formas”. During his first summer in the city he played at various locations and got to organize the first OVER/12” party at Club der Visionäre.
Throughout the years of focused digging in record shops he gathered a very eclectic collection including deep house and techno, minimal, breaks & experimental rarities.
His vinyl only sessions are based on a carefully chosen record selection in his bag, over 15 years of clubbing experience and his never-ending dedication and desire to learn and explore through sound.
