Andrés Knoblovits is an irresistibly restless polymath, and Knob is his chosen pseudonym as a Disc Jockey.
After first forming in adolescence a punk rock band without a drummer, his permanent curiosity led him to an interest in electronic music in 2000: even without legal age to enter the clubs of Buenos Aires – his hometown – bought a couple of technics 1200 and began to play music. His first order of discs was already a reflection of his eclectic tastes, with artists like Apparat, Trimatic and Robert Hood, labels like Shitkatapult, Raum Muzik or Tresor and productions that ranging from experimental ambient to minimal house of Cologne or to Detroit techno.
Knobs principles as DJ occurred while studying photography and industrial design, he promoted a lot of parties in houses, camps, under-construction sites, factories in demolition and underground clubs. Since then, he is recognized for seeking the perfect mix of a heterogeneous, developed and powerful set, adapting to the situation that calls him without losing personality.
With his strong stage presence, Knob plays at the prestigious clubs of Argentina, such as Niceto Club, Bahrein, Crobar, Shamrock, and in parties like Playground, Dengue, Undertones and Mutek [AR], to name a few.
Multifaceted and irrepressible, today he divides his time between artistic work, photography, teaching, his talent agency, and gigs as Disc Jockey.
